EMILY CHIU is a composer, orchestrator, and writer for TV/Film, Commercial Music, Games, and Theater.
As an award-winning composer, lyricist, and bookwriter, her shows have been translated, adapted, and toured abroad and throughout the United States. She is an in-house composer for Dojocub Music and her work can be heard on multiple major motion pictures (Netflix, Sony, Paramount, etc…) and in major athletic stadiums.
Musical Theater Writing Credits include: American Girl Live! (US National Tour – Mattel Inc.); Bak Chang <肉粽> (5th Ave Theater); Unshelved <圖書館奇妙夜> (Chinese National Tour); Keaton and the Whale (Tom Hendry Awards Shortlist); Apollo (Highland Arts Theatre), Zookeeper (National Asian Artists’ Project), You Gave Me A Sheep (National Asian Artists’ Project); Life, Love, Food, and Monsters (Mr. William Finn’s New Artists On The Horizon).
She holds a BA in music from Brown University and an MFA from NYU Tisch’s Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program.
